About meAvid reader, mother of young twins.
I like books about: philosophy, science, psychology, linguistics, buddhism, and cooking, and combinations (philosophical cooking??). And I don't mind some original (childrens) fiction either.
About my libraryThe books tagged bookmooch me can probably still be mooched at my bookmooch adress, if my tags are up to date. They all have a tag with the language they're in, too. via bookmooch means I got them through bookmooch.
De boeken met de tag bookmooch me zijn in principe via bookmooch te ruilen, als mijn tags nog kloppen.

Well, I got sick of waiting for your 'angel' request Trattoria so I sent a query today, the result being she says she will post it at the end of this week! I hope you remembered you had asked for it. LOL!
If she does, it should arrive next week - and then I can send you the link. I know you were happy to wait but it has been long enough, so I am glad I nudged a bit.
Just wanted to give an update... :)

When 4 pounds is $30, I might as well stuff a box with 6-8 ($42) or 12-15 ($54) pounds.

I mooched the Elizabeth David cookery book for you and got completely caught up in real life and forgot to actually mention that I had done this. I'm really sorry, I'm having a somewhat busy week! The owner hasnt got back to me to accept the mooch yet, I'll keep you updated-if you still want the book of course!
Sorry again,
Sarah

Noticed that you recently added Antonio Damasco's The Feeling of What Happens to your library. Let me know what you think of it once you get around to reading it. I share an interest in studies pertaining to consciousness and his book seems to have garnered a lot of interest. I've added the book to my Mooch wishlist but am not holding my breath with this new reserve system...Take care, Eva.

Indrukwekkende bibliotheek trouwens:-)

Well fought not to read it because it going to be some variation of chicklit BUT was hooked in and turned the pages gripped by the unfolding tragedy of the one innocent mistake. The writing was clever in the way it evoked the physical environment and time of the period as well as switching point of view from each of the main characters as the story moves to its climax. A key thing that makes the story works is that we understand why the main characters make the decisions they do. It also gives you a pain free overview of the changes in attitudes to learning difficulties from the mid 60's and now. Highly recommended.
