About meSmall Beer Press is a combine of the ancient order of Independent Publishing Concerns. Based in North America, it was started by Gavin J. Grant and Kelly Link and is now run by a small (note the repeating verbiage) coterie of readers who love to put good books in other readers' hands. We publish 4-5 books a year, maybe, and twice a year put out our tiny lit zine, LCRW (aka Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet).

About my libraryThis library is made up only of Small Beer books (and maybe zines and chapbooks). And maybe it will include connected books. Later we will have to add other books as there are quite a few around here.

World Dance Party Today at 3:00 p.m. est. (Set your world clocks)
P.S. Party to Be repeated at 8:00 p.m est for those who can't make the 3:00 time

Hi guys, it's my birthday and I want to celebrate. I've already got an impromptu dance party going on at the Moss-Freestate maison right now. But why stop there? Let's get the world dancing, dancing for peace, for justice, for gentleness, for love and human kindness. So here's the deal. At exactly 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, I'm going to put on my current favorite dance song "Life in Technicolor" from the Vida la Vida cd by Coldplay. If you have a copy of this song, at exactly 3:00 p.m. est (whatever time that is by your clock), hit the play button and dance away. If you don't have this song, turn on your favorite dance song and dance. Even if you can't stand, dance. Dance in chair, in your bed, if all you can do is wiggle your fingers, dance with them. The song is 2:29 minutes so it won't take much time. At the end, shout YAY for everything that's good in the world. Pass the message on to friends if you like. They don't have to know me; I'd just like to think of millions of people all over the world dancing at the same time for all that is good. It would be the best birthday present ever!!!

Pass the word ON!!!!!
Leslie (aka JandL) is a SmallBeer fan who just ordered the subscription w/chocolate. Stopped by booth at BEA and said "Hi" to Gavin.
Gavin/Kelly, we just picked up The Best of Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet. The preface made me laugh!! May many copies be sold!! I do think you ought to put your names somewhere on this page. Best, Lois
I should have been more precise but I think I was sleepy -- anyway, LT has a special status for Actual Book Authors who get highlighted on the Zeitgeist stats and so on. I know the details are in the FAQ!
Oh, I'm so glad you've joined LT. Make sure you get LT author tags, k?
Hey! Yes, Readercon was fun in an exhausting sort of way:-) Loved talking to you, as always. Thanks for talking with the Boston Globe reporter! Best, Lois
