About meI'm 38-year-old writer currently living in Salt Lake City(I'm from San Francisco, originally). I'm the author of the YA novels STORY OF A GIRL (a 2007 National Book Award Finalist) SWEETHEARTS (a 2008 Cybils Finalist), and the forthcoming ONCE WAS LOST, all published by Little, Brown. I've also got short pieces in several anthologies. I like stories of everyday people going through the minor and major challenges and triumphs of everyday life.
About my libraryI suffer from LibraryThing envy when I see profiles with thousands of books, but egads, do y'all really have all those books in your houses? The majority of my reading comes from the public library, hence my relatively small collection here. Also, I've opted not to include our entire family library - just the books that are particular to my work and interests. As you'll notice, I've mostly got young adult fiction, books on writing, Christian living and spirituality, and mainstream novels. Oh yeah - and cook books. If I were to add my husband's books, you'd see more theology, education theory, our entire collection of classics, and a whole lot of thrillers.
