I really enjoy reading your Bookstore Tourism page/blog! I'd die to go on a NYC store tour someday...a definite future wish-list trip. I work PT at one of the Ithaca, NY used independents, and I remember reading that you visited the area awhile ago...the various owners ought to collaborate to get more of a tourism presence, you're right!

I believe "Bookselling for Dummies" was produced specifically for the American Booksellers Association. I don't know where it might be available. "Not Just a Living" is excellent. I read a few books with similar themes a couple of years ago -- all of them excellent, and all of them helpful for navigating a midlife semi-crisis like I was going through! It's one of the reasons I'm now pursuing interests outside the day-job and hoping Bookstore Tourism takes off. I'm still learning -- you're much further along than I am.
