About meI attend seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary. I am going for my Masters of Divinity. Me a divine? I guess. Only God knows. I work for Professor Dr. Derek Thomas and Dr. Miles Van Pelt. The jobs have a sweet title, the John Richards Honor Scholar of Practical and Systematic Theology and the Fairbairn Honor Scholar of Biblical Languages. That is just a fancy way of saying I am their T.A.s (teaching assistant). I love it here at RTS. I am not a huge fan of the South, but it is growing on me. However, the seminary is a great place to be. And I love working for Dr. Thomas and Dr. Van Pelt. I get to proof read all their books, articles and essays, which is fantastic. I get to read books before they are published. This is like watching your favorite movie before it is out in the theaters. I also grade and lead study groups. I love to read, mainly my Bible, and books about the Bible/Christianity, i.e. theology, commentaries, biographies, and things like that. I am an aspiring Pauline scholar and Greek scholar. I find benefit from the writings of: John Piper, John Calvin, John Owen, John Murray, Herman Bavinck, Scott Oliphint, Derek Thomas, Guy Waters, Miles Van Pelt and many others.

Also, I enjoy smoking my pipe and drinking a beer or cognac while talking about the Christian faith with friends. Some of my favorite times in life are enjoying the company of others; smoking and drinking and talking about the deep things of God. Every other Monday night I attend the Dead Theologians Society (D.T.S.) where we talk about theology; philosophy and politics; while enjoying the finer thing in live. So whether you eat or drink; do all to the glory of God.
