About meI love to read books in a series so I especially like that feature on here. I always try to begin with the first book and read through all that are available. Sometimes I take a break from one to the next and read something totally different, but often I read straight through as though it were one very long story. I then get upset when I don't have any more to read and have to wait till the next one is published. I often get very attached to the characters and miss them terribly!

I have a hard time parting with any books, even though I likely will not read them again. I'm trying to get over it. It's tough to do, especially when I have a series going.

I'm thankful that I found librarything as it has helped me to get a little better organized and so that I'll know what I've already read. I also like looking up different books and reading posts.

Hi there,
Will list it and send you a recommendation so that you know that it is ready for you to mooch.

Take care,
Michelle
Hi, M J
Congratulations on winning an autographed copy of my book Hot Issues, Cool Choices: Facing Bullies, Peer Pressure, Popularity, and Put-Downs and I'll mail your book off to you on Thursday. Do you want it autographed to M J or MJ or to your first name?
Again, Congratulations!
Sandy
Yes, please! :) You really don't have to ask, anytime you have Glamours, just list them for me, I'll mooch them!

Thanks!!
Brenda
Thank you for mooching the book for me! I'd been waiting for it for a looong time :)

If I find a book that I want and it's only mailed within the US, I will definitely let you know. If not, then I'll just look for something that I like and ask you before or only soon after Nick & Norah is shipped.

Thank you soooo much for doing this for me!
Oh, and I don't mind that it's a hardcover.
Thanks for sending me "Death in the Garden". It's so fun to mooch from fellow LTers-- I know everything will go smoothly!
I'll take all three. I can always go though with my trusty black marker. hehehe
I don't mind just sending you points, but if you list them, you'll get the feedback/mooch ratio boost.

Thanks!
Brenda
Listed, reserved, recommended!
Ahh, it's such a small quibble. I'll just have to remember to ask if it's a book club edition if I think I may want to keep it. I'm just glad that someone else does not like them and happy to have the BookMooch thread where someone will always provide sympathy (the tea I can make myself).
For Bookmooch, ebay, and other shipping sites, I find it very helpful to add this comment:

Dear Seller -

Thank you for selling me X item! I am very excited to be receiving this from you. Please note that my postal service office has the habit of destroying my packages and removing contents. Therefore, may I please ask you to wrap the package extra well and tape it well too? I am happy to purchase insurance offered, and would appreciate receiving this item from you as it was intended.

Thank you for your understanding -

Sorry it's gone! Take care!
And...done. They're reserved for you for seven days. And, seriously, I will refund your points if you don't like these books.
I love series too! What is your favorite?
Ooh, could I get this too? http://www.bookmooch.com/detail/06709102... Thanks.
Oh, I'm not sure. Infiniteletters hasn't clarified which books they mooched yet.
Would this one be okay? http://www.bookmooch.com/detail/03854159... and your copy of Eat Pray Love. Thanks!
Aw, too bad about the angel mooch, but thank you for helping me!
We have to help each other out, right! Enjoy the book, it's a terrific read!
Thank you for your kind offer. I have only a few more shipments that I have committed to, and finances are not so tight that I can't fit them in. I enjoy sending internationally so much, I started angeling when I could. It's fun, but sure drives up the postage expenses. I'll just put it off for now and, when I start again, scale back a bit and we'll be fine. Mr. H does pretty well, except when he has to work the arm for more than about 30 minutes. Too bad a day's work can be as long as 12 hours.
I reserved Water For Elephants for you on Bookmooch.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment ..... it is most definitely us! I do think my little horror is beautiful but then I am biased!
Great! I'm glad you got the books so quick and I'm glad you got a copy of A Drink. Alas, I found no Dennis Lehane books at the sale today. Very disappointing as I usually find him easily. I picked up 3 of them at a sale not long ago and put them up on BM and they've all gone except Mystic River. (which is very good also, just not part of the series)

I'll keep looking, I'm a fool for book sales, so I travel up to an hour to go to one. There's a couple more this summer I'm planning to go to.
I know, that was so FUNNY! (Ridgewaygirl and I both typing away about Shutter Island at the same time!)

I pulled my copies of the books out to double check which one was first, and you're right - It's A Drink Before the War, Darkness, Take my Hand, Sacred, Gone, Baby, Gone, and Prayers for Rain. I don't know why I thought Gone, Baby, Gone was first.

They're all set in Boston, and I grew up outside of Boston, so that could be part of why I really like them, but it's also really good writing. I should just pick them up every time I see them at sales so I can turn other people on to them. :)
Shutter Island is outside of his detective duo books, as is Mystic River and The Given Day (coming out in Sept). Shutter Island is my least favorite Lehane novel. Please, don't read it first! (ah, how protective we get of our favorite authors!)

I've got a FOL sale this weekend, I'll really search for Lehane books for you!
Thought I'd pop over and say hi since I see your posts all the time on the BookMooch forum and then noticed you were contemplating reading "Shutter Island". This book is good but everyone I've ever discussed the book with has had the following reaction: "weird". The series stuff is really compelling and I am eagerly waiting to get my hands on the newest. That said, I really liked "Shutter Island".
They are all quite similar - demented serial killer on the loose, quirky detective team has to find him/her. (I LIKE serial killers, I just can't help it, one murder (murder mysteries or cozies) bores me. I want lots of deaths and I like twists.)

I forgot one, Dennis Lehane wrote 3-4 books with a quirky team. The first book is Gone Baby Gone, which was just made into a movie. (the movie was good too!) I just sent a copy to Israel, but I see them at book sales, so I'll look for a copy for you.
No problem, they've just been sitting there for months - I'm really happy to have them go somewhere!
If you like Connolly and Cornwell, you should check out John Connolly and John Stanford. I have lots of Stanford but only one J. Connolly left. Come back any time for more, on the older paperbacks I'd be happy to give 3 for 1. I'd be happier yet if it were 3/1 PBS point, as I have tons of BM points, but PBS points are harder to get (at least for me!).
Hi,

I've got Void Moon and the Lincoln Lawyer. Lincoln Lawyer isn't listed (I actually thought I might read it before listing it, but heck - my TBR pile has lots more that are calling me more strongly!) but Void Moon is, so if you want to mooch Void Moon I'll throw LL in too. And if you find any other Connelly or Deaver or Cornwell books you want, I'd throw them in too. I'm happy to get them out of my house and into someone else's house!

Brenda
Hello,

I see we share quite a few books. You might want to try some David Baldacci. He has a couple series and several stand alones.
Another series I would like to recommend to you is Beverly Lewis, who actually writes Christian fiction, about the Amish. Her series Abram's Daughters has enough mystery to keep you reading and wanting more. I loved that series and if you look at my library you will see I am an avid mystery reader.
I am glad you are here and on Bookmooch.
Hi!!! Welcome to LT and BookMooch, I have been logging my library and swapping books for about 3 months now and I love it:) I also joined the 50 Book challenge and although it is a "challenge" it keeps me reading....I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I have, I too don't remember how I stumbled upon LT---but I am so happy I did:)

Happy Reading")
