About meDian Curtis Regan is the author of many books for young readers. In 1993, she was named "Member of the Year" by the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

She has been inducted into the Oklahoma Professional Writers Hall of Fame, and has received a "Distinguished Medal of Service in Children's Literature" from the Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers.

Dian has published fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in many children's magazines and has written on assignment for Writers Digest, Byline, and Scholastic Scope.

She was born in Colorado Springs, and lived there for many years. After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder, she taught school in Denver until taking "one year off to write."

More than a year passed, and she is still writing full time. Besides Colorado, she has also lived in Texas and Oklahoma, and spent three years living in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela. Presently, she lives in Wichita, Kansas.
