Hi, David - Another writer here. I see you've read a few military memoirs. I've got four books out, and one is the story of my dissolute youth in the army back in the sixties - SOLDIER BOY: AT PLAY IN THE ASA. It's on Amazon or at my website, RatholeBooks.com . I've read those same memoirs you have and a lot of others too. Particularly enjoyed Debra Dickerson's book, since I spent 18 mos at DLI in Monterey in 76-77 studying Russian. And if you liked Roald Dahl's BOY, you should read the sequel, SOLO - which is VERY good. You're a SciFi fan? Try Theodore Judson's FITZPATRICK's WAR. All the best with your writing. - Tim
