About meHere are some random facts about me:
1. Tom Waits, Bill Bryson and Glen Cook are my heroes.
2 . I cannot draw, paint, sculpt, play a musical instrument, dance or sing. Consequently I find myself a little amazed by those who can.
3. I have a not-so-secret desire to live somewhere that's on the far edge of civilization. Someplace like a dusty little hamlet in Australia, or Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia.
4. I feel very much as though I was born in the wrong time in history. I'm supposed to be slathered in woad and assaulting Hadrian's Wall, not plugging numbers into spreadsheets and coding websites.
5. I think frogs and turtles are okay, but toads and tortoises are totally cooler.
6. I once cut myself badly enough to need seventeen stitches by slipping on a banana peel.
7. I'm an ISTJ personality type.
About my libraryIt's kind of an oddball mixture; speculative fiction, noir, survivalist manuals (I'm not a nut; I just believe in being prepared), and a growing non-fiction section. Specialization is for insects.
