Just a note that I received The Diamond Cat in the mail today - thanks so much!
Thank you for the book and not obligating me to write a review
Thank You So much! I received it yesterday. I am reading two other books and will be able to read it in a few weeks. Is that okay? I am not sure how long I have to write a review. I am sure I will enjoy it. It is the kind of book I like. Thank you and congratulations on your achievement! Christina
Thank you so much for The Oxford Book of Historical Stories! I won it through the Member Giveaway program; it arrived today and I can't wait to read it. Thanks again!
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!! you really did not have to send it out first class, I just wanted to know. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!* thanks again and again and again*
I received a comment on my profile that I have won chocolate fantasies on july 7 but have not received it yet. If you did not send it out yet, no worries,I'm just wondering. Maybe it got lost in the mail.Thank you for putting up the book anyway.
That is fine, however I don't want to cost you money or put you out in any way. If you decide to send that is fine, if not fine. Things happen. Just let me know what you decide to do. God Bless, christina
Hi, I had gotten an email saying I snagged "Impossible Odds"
but Have not yet received it. I look forward to reading it. Thanks. Christina P.

Thanks for the Derleth Cthulhu book!
Hi Sandy!
Thank you so much for your kindness in sending the copy of The Pact to me that you had posted on Member Giveaway. I received it today, and am looking forward to reading it. I appreciate it very much.

Thank you for sending me the copy of Golden. It's a sweet little book. I like that Rapunzel figures out how to save herself and Rue instead of waiting for a knight in shining armour. It's a shame more men don't decide to work on their relationships like Harry and the prince.

Thanks again for the book. I have promised it to a girlfriend.
Hello! I received Cosmic Encounter today. Thanks so much for sending it. I'm looking forward to reading it....eventually. My TBR is so very out of control!
Hello Sandy Schmitz! I received "Dead Ringer" by Arthur Lyons from you, and I thank you very much for it.

Cheers

Hi SandySchmitz,
I have received the copy of Thirst that you gave out for member give-away, thank you so much!

Glad to help. Out of print Leisure Books can sometimes fetch surprising prices, they must have a pretty bad marketing/research department. Don’t give away a copy of John Dies at the End (Permuted Press) if you have one because until the hb comes out in late September, goth kids will THROW buckets of money at you for a copy. Freakin’ goth kids.

I donate a lot of my books, too. My favorite is Operation Paperback, books for soldiers. My local OP rep sends out emails with soldier requests, and some for comics and love stories can choke me up. Of course, most of the requests are pretty advanced. There’s a used book store about 35 miles down the highway (McKays)that sometimes prices thrillers at 9 cents each to move them. I’ll load the car up and ship them off. About the only books I read and always keep are essays.
As much as I would love to have a copy of any book called 'Burn Witch, Burn' (I mean, how cool is that?), I should point out that it's a pretty valuable pb. 10 copies on Amazon, and the cheapest is almost $60. Merrit's other books also get more money than you'd think. You may want to reconsider giving them away, or limit youself to true afficianados or a genre library (neither of which I am, sadly.)

Sandy,
I received your member giveaway book Marie by H. Rider Haggard and was pleasantly surprised to find another novel by the same author included in the shipment. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your kindness.
Hello, my name is Thomas Fortenberry. I was informed you were giving away numerous books from your collection. Though I collect and love all books in general, I have a very specific area in which I would like to request a favor: I am an author/editor/historian and am currently researching and writing an extensive study of the Pulp Era plus its influences and impact on literature and culture. If you are considering giving away any of those types of titles, could you please let me know. I would truly appreciate any and all help in this area. Many of these texts are very difficult to come by and I've been stymied many a time attempting to find sources for this project. I'm killing my local librarians with ILL and ther headaches.

Thank you for your time and attention. If you have a question or need to contact me, my personal email is on my profile page.

Cheers,

Thomas (Kurvanas on LibraryThing)

Thanks for Book of the Werewolf! I can't wait to get it. :)
Got the book. Nice condition. Thanks again!
Received Gaston Leroux: The Real Opera Ghost and Other Tales. Thanks so much for getting it here so quickly and in great shape! This will be a nice addition to my library of ghostly tales.
Wow! You're giving a lot of books away! Thanks for that. :)
Thanks for giving away Best Dr. Poggioli Detective Stories by T. S. Stribling. I'm looking forward to reading it.
Hey, Just wanted to say I think it's awesome you've decided to post so many books to Member Giveaway while cleaning off your shelves :)
Thanx for answering my question - if i'd realised how close i was to the 'deadline' i'd have checked back sooner for your reply! Never mind, there'll be other Cousin Henrys in the sea for me. ;0) (Henrys? Henries? hm...)
Sandy, would you tell me about the Cousin Henry you are offering on Member Giveaway? Is the print small?
Thanx

I look forward to reading it!

Hi, I just joined this site. I'm a relationship expert and I'm getting ready to a column on love advice & relationships. Anyway, just thought I would connect.
To the folks who have put in for my Member Giveaway books:

I have sent out the following books to their winners: Railway Detective, Neophyte, Jewel of Seven Stars, Lair of the White Worm, and The Great Arc. You should be receiving them within a week or so, if you haven't gotten them already.

I have not yet been notified of the winners' names and addresses for any of the other titles I put up for "adoption", but rest assured that I am hanging on to those books and will send them out as quickly as possible after LT can get that information to me.

In the interests of not getting too backlogged with books to ship out (and not driving myself crazy), I will not be adding any more titles to Member Giveaway until this problem is resolved.

Thanks for your patience.
