About meLuis Alberto Urrea is the author of 13 books, most recently The Hummingbird's Daughter and The Devil's Highway. His new novel, Into the Beautiful North, will be released in May 2009.

About my librarySo far my library has completely taken over every room of my house and filled a storage unit in Colorado. Rather than relist it all here, I'm going to try to chronicle all that I read in 2009. Should be an interesting experiment!

You should list your library--we readers (and booksellers--I am both) are terribly interested in what's in everybody's library...especially the libraries of writers! (Plus I bet you'll be amazed at what you discover on your own shelves and in your own boxes as you list them. When I was cataloging my books last year I was astonished both by how much I've read and by how much I *haven't* read. I remembered where I'd purchased books, who'd given them to me, I reread inscriptions and remembered their occasions...)

PS I have your latest--it's up soon!
Congrats on your new book: I've just started on it (it's one of eight plus that are on-going). You can find my library-in-progress under "dgrapes".
