About meJean Marzollo, author of I SPY and many other children's books, has launched a new website (jeanmarzollo.com) featuring two FREE online, interactive math books for children ages 5-8: Monsters for Sale and Castle Crash. The math books were written by Jean and Claudio Marzollo and illustrated by Jean. Kids can play the books (in English or Spanish) on a computer or on an interactive white board, such as a SMART Board, at school. "I use the word 'play' because that's what kids say when a book is online and interactive," said Jean. "I use the word 'book' because the ebooks have pages, stories, and pictures.”

Kids can 'play' her new website, too. "My home page is full of pictures to click. It's a responsive environment - when kids click a picture, something happens." For example, if children click a present called "December Surprise," they'll hear (for free) a
recording of Jingle Bells, see a rebus presentation of the lyrics, and get to play a game with a funny reward. "In 1986 Carol Devine Carson and I created a book called The Rebus Treasury. It's now out of print. I'm thrilled to bring it back to life interactively. Each month my website will change, and one of the changing features will be a new interactive rebus from the book."

Question regarding "Can We Eat Now?" ... I think I read this book when I was little. Is this about the witches preparing a meal and they are throwing all these strange ingredients into the pot? I have a vague memory of this book but have always wanted to get a copy now that I am building a collection of children's books for my
kids.
Thanks for your help.
