About my libraryI wanted to let the world know that I wish on the favorite authors feature that I could star my favorite. Charlotte Brontë is amazing! I am a bit obsessed. As to my library, I love the Victorians. Give me a novel written between 1837-1901, and I will at least like it. However, I will probably love it. Only recently have I started to read books published today. I enjoy these new authors, but I always relish returning to my touchstones.

Hi Elizabeth, and thanks for the interesting library add! We share a fair number of books and many are longtime favorites of mine. I'm a fan of Victorian lit too, and I just have to say too that I love your profile pic! :) I just read both Jane Eyre and Villette, and really enjoyed them. And I read Little Dorrit not that long ago for the first time. How are you liking it?

Thanks again and I'll see you around!

Wonderful!
It stands in my second-rank Dickens which means it is very good indeed. (I like it better than M.Chuzzlewit although MC has its moments and chapters.) Something about those two girls roaming around London at night gets to me every time. Let me know how you progress or if you get stuck!

Have you found Valancourt Books yet? http://www.valancourtbooks.com/ They have some interesting books you might like.
Well-met, Elizabeth!
I'm surprised that we have only 36 books in common. I'm in the process of reading Drood now, a hefty volume but quite entertaining. I enjoyed Girl in a Blue Dress earlier this year, and have yet another book about the Dickens/Ternan connection (which I can't recall the title of) in line. It seems to me that I might need to stop and read some Dickens!

Elizabeth,
I hope you don't mind me writing to you. I saw your post about Charles Dickens books. Your answer intested me and I pulled up your profile page. I also like to read books with a Victorian setting. (Although I think you are probably more devoted to it than I am.) I mostly enjoy historical fiction. I was just wondering if you had ever read anything by Susan Horwath. I am currently reading "The Wheel of Fortune" which begins late Victorian period and goes up to the 1960's. I read another of her books many years ago called "Penmaric" I think you might enjoy her work.

Hi, I just did another review! This one is of the e-book that guy sent me.. It is only 3 paragraphs but it took forever to write. Thought you might be interested to take a look at it. Happy Reading! Ronda
Thanks for inviting me to the Bronte group :)
Yeah it was strange: I searched for Bronte but the group didn't pop up. When I searched for english literature it was somewhere in the long list. I'm glad to have found fellow-readers! I really enjoy these books and it's great to be able to discuss them with other people who have read them!
Thanks for the invite to the Brontë group, looking forward to taking part in the discussions!:)
And I like you! Thanks for the invitation:)
Thank you for the kind invitation. My favorite Bronte is Charlotte. And my favorite Bronte book Villette. But I can see now that membership in the august Bronte Club is going to force me to go back and read/reread Emily and Anne.
I'm so happy to have found this group, so thank you for creating it! I think sending an invite to the Bronte Sisters group would be a good idea. There are so many groups on librarything, and it's easy to miss some. The more, the merrier. I also wanted to thank you for your suggesting The Poems of Branwell Bronte. It will definitely be included in my next amazon order. What other topics did you want to post? I wanted to start a discussion on And the Weary Are at Rest, but I haven't had the time to research it yet.

Tazke care,
Maria
Hey Elizabeth - Thanks for your note. I spend so much time in my challenge group, I probably won't be a regular in the Bronte group. I might stop by from time to time. The challenge threads take a lot out of me.
Have you read Wide Sargasso Sea? I don't see a rating for it in your library.
Have a good weekend!
