Just finished Zadie Smith's On Beauty and must thank you for the introduction. She is a talented writer--my favorite character, if I may be so bold, was Kiki and I very much enjoyed the relationship she had with Carlene.

Thanks for the reference. I am "brewing" a lovely mix of fiction and non-fiction from collections like yours. Recently received by email pictures of a beautiful library in Portugal called Lello Porto. livraria-lello-bookbtore-1906-porto.pps. It is a power point show worth viewing.

Just browsed your entire library! I was glad to find Allegra Maud Goldman there. When you wrote "only connect" who were you quoting? It is so familiar, but I can't place it. Your library suggested some wonderful titles. I'll stay tuned.

Thanks for having a look at my library. Staying "connected" is surely what it all is about. Even within the feminist ranks there are disconnects. I've spent a lot of time defending Willa Cather and I'm still trying to rescue Bellow from Vivian Gornick!

as you can see, I have added you to my list of interesting libraries. I see we have a good number of interesting books in common, many of which I do not share with any of my LT friends.
