About meHello I am Jackie, 27 year old married mother of two with a deep love for books. I cherished every minute that I can steal away for my books. After looking for a way to share all the news, recommendations, and love I have for the books I read I found Shelfari and Librarything which I check regularly. I also have a blog at book-whisperer.blogspot.com if you are interested. I would love to begin reading books from publishers and authors for review. If you are interested in my review for your book; you can contact me at jomullane@bluemarble.net. I read anything fiction, and look forward to meeting all kinds of new people.
About my libraryMy passion that started my reading journey would be fantasy, paranormal romance, or urban fantasy. Although, I enjoy many genres of fiction, and I find that I go through phases where I am all about a particular genre for a various lengths of time.
So far the best book I have read this year is The Girl She Used To Be. I recommend this book for everyone.

fit a fire, it's way more boring than it sounds. I used to sell and fit wood stoves for a career, I had bought a wood stove to fit in my lounge about 4 years ago, but it's been on the bottom of the DIY to do list for so long. I still didn't get around to fitting, it looks like it might have to wait until I get some free time in June. It's a little Hunter Hawk wood stove, cute and kicks out a lot of heat.

How have you been? How's your Paranormal 999 Challenge going? I see you read White Witch, Black Curse already. Did you get an ARC? You only gave it two stars, did it suck? I have been reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman. It's a bit slow going. Kind of creepy. What's up next for you?

Right now I'm reading The Reincarnationist by M.J. Rose. So far I'm hooked! I started a bookclub with a couple of the girls from work and the first book we are reading is The Memorist by M.J. Rose so I thought I would read this one first and see how it goes.
How about you?
Thanks again for you help! :)

Have you read any of Mario Acevedo books yet? What do you think? I had hoped to snag his from the Dec. ER but no such luck. I did get the Dana Stabenow book though, so I am not complaining. I have yet to check out your library but from your list of fav authors it looks like we have several in common.

I keep a track of the dates in my outlook calendar at work, I get newsletter e-mails from the authors I love as well which keep me up to date with what is new and next. Amazon recommendations is good too!
I have a huge wishlist on here, massive. At the moment I am reading Brisingr by Christopher Paolini and then moving onto Living with the Dead by Kelley Armstrong, also have Hounding the Moon by PR Frost to read too. I have exceeded my 50 book challenge, but sucking at nanowrimo been too ill most of the time (stupidity on my part) too actually type so have 13108 words to date, no where near 50000 which is needed, my first year of not going for it :( hey there is always next year!
Hows things with you?

Thanks for stopping by my page and leaving a comment it's lovely to 'meet' with people who like the same genres as me. I had fun noseying around your library too and I ache with envy that you have the third book of Jeanine Frosts! :)
I noticed you liked werewolves and have a lot of the really good ones already so I'd recommend Christopher Golden's Prowlers series which I thought was quite cool and his other books are certainly worth checking out. For YA I'd recommend Lisa Jane Smith particularly the Secret Circle trilogy about witches and her trilogy Forbidden Game (norse mythology and djinn) they are teeny romances but they are very readable. I'm sure there's more I meant to recommend but my mind's gone blank... I might pop by later if I can remember them!

Thanks for the reccomendations!
I tried to read LA Banks' "Minion"... Have you read it? I'm not sure if I like it. It doesn't flow well for me, and I don't feel like I know the characters. Maybe the other books in the series get better? I saw you have another book of hers...what did you think?
I can't wait to buy more weather warden books! :)

Sookie Stackhouse series is written by Charlaine Harris - they are a "southern vampire" series, although they don't really seem like it to me. Not as gory as some, not as sensual as some, but fun plot! Another plus is that there are a ton of books and they kept me happy for almost a month...until I finished all of them!
:]
Have fun!
Any other series you enjoy? i liked the comment from the gal below - i'm looking nito those recommendations! I just started the weather warden series and LOVED the first book. i can't wait to buy all of them!
